Hi there, I'm Charlie Gasmire.

I’m a commercially-licensed pilot and aircraft owner with 20 years of experience in aviation, and I love helping others pursue this amazing hobby and profession.

I own a 1975 Cessna 182P and hold both single and multi-engine commercial certificates, as well as a private single engine seaplane certificate, instrument rating, and tailwheel endorsement.

To help share lessons I’ve learned, and to help others become pilots and aircraft owners, in 2018 I started the Airplane Academy website and YouTube channel. Since then, it has received over 9,000,000 views, gained over 95,000 subscribers, and has been featured in Cessna Owner Magazine, Pipers Magazine, General Aviation News, and more, and I was a speaker at AirVenture 2023.

I am thankful to have had opportunities to film with Cessna, Daher Kodiak, Tac Aero, Beechcraft (coming soon), Pilatus (coming soon), and more. The more aviation I experience, the more I want to continue to share it with others and help others become pilots and aircraft owners. It has changed my life and I am confident it will change yours, too.

Our call will be held over Zoom, and I will send you the call recording afterwards that is yours to keep.

I am open to consulting on your aviation journey, training, airplane ownership and purchasing, YouTube and YouTube strategy, entrepreneurship, and more. Or, if you like my YouTube channel and you are just looking to “hang out” for an hour, that is fine, too! You will be asked to fill out a questionnaire as part of the booking process that will let me know ahead of time what you are looking to accomplish, so that I can prepare for our call and help maximize its value for you. If, based on the questionnaire answers, I’m not confident that I can assist you, I will refund your purchase and notify you. 

I completely understand that emergencies can arise, and if something happens please let me know. In most cases, however, to respect both your time and mine I ask for a 100% commitment to attend at our scheduled time. If a no-show occurs and no prior communication was made, the cost will be non-refundable.
